What is the Recruit-a-Friend Program, and who is eligible?

The Recruit-a-Friend program gives existing Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning subscribers a way to invite their friends and family to play WAR with them. Existing subscribers can recruit new or previously subscribed players. (Previously subscribed players must be gone from WAR for a minimum of 60 days in order to be eligible.) Recruits will be directed to the new Endless Trial and can play on the server of their choice. Existing players can earn both free game time and in-game item rewards (item rewards are retroactive to the start of the Recruit-a-Friend program in December).

What is the difference between a Recruit-a-Friend trial account and an Endless Trial account?

Recruit-a-Friend trial accounts have access to all servers while Endless Trial accounts are restricted to specific servers. Otherwise, both accounts share the same in-game restrictions: Empire versus Chaos Tier 1 only, cannot send mail, and cannot create auctions. Both accounts are also "endless" and never close.

How can I recruit a friend?

Go to the Account Center and log in to your Master Account. Click on the "Recruit-a-Friend to Join the Armies of WAR" and follow the instructions!

How many friends can I recruit?

Subscribers may recruit as many of their friends and family as they like, but are limited to sending one (1) invite per day. If an account is created that day, they can send another invite.

What can I earn for recruiting a friend?

Recruiting players can earn free game time and exciting in-game rewards:

1st recruit to subscriber = 30 days of free game time
2nd recruit to subscriber = an additional 30 days of free game time + Warlord's Fell Hound or Imperial Hunting Dog
3rd recruit to subscriber = an additional 30 days of free game time
4th recruit to subscriber = an additional 30 days of free game time + Rod of Service or Collar of Servitude
5th recruit to subscriber and beyond = an additional 30 days of free game time
6th recruit to subscriber and beyond = an additional 30 days of free game time + Imperial Griffon or Enslaved Manticore
7th an additional 30 days of free game time for each new recruit

You will get your Recruit-a-Friend reward when your recruit upgrades his or her account to a full subscription.

My recruited friend wants to subscribe. What is the easiest way to turn a Recruit-a-Friend Account into a Retail Account?

Recruit-a-Friend players can upgrade their accounts to a full version of the game by either purchasing a copy of the game or by upgrading directly via the Account Center. Learn more here. After they upgrade their account, the patcher will automatically patch the full game client.

I recruited a friend, but they started on a different server than me. Can they transfer to my server?

Yes, they can. Once they upgrade to a full version of the game, they can log into the Account Center and transfer any characters Rank 11 and under. All characters Rank 11 and under on purchased accounts have access to unlimited transfers, with a max of one transfer per day. Please note that you can only transfer characters to the same server type as the server you created your characters on (Core, Open RvR, and Roleplay).
