Patch 1.4.2 is now on the live servers and receiving predominantly positive feedback; the most controversial discussion is the armor set changes - which was one of the focal points of the patch. We are eager to see how the situation on the live servers will change now - especially in T4 based on these changes.
In the meantime, we are following up this patch with the planned changes to physical mitigation that we discussed in the forums. If all goes well we can get the change on PTS to get some feedback so we can introduce the change to the live servers as soon as possible.
Speaking of next patch: We are planning to launch version 1.4.3 in late June. We will talk about the exact highlights as the patch date approaches, but the upcoming 'Sigmar Tide' event will be an important part of that release.
Live Event: Sigmar Tide
Let the revels begin! Every citizen, soldier, and servant in the Empire takes pause at this festive time of year to celebrate the day Sigmar became a god. It is a time to purge the Empire of the taint of Chaos. Meanwhile, the forces of Destruction seek to undermine the Empire by ruining the festival!
Here is a sneak peek of something new for this Live Event…
Adjustments to crafting is one of our long term goals. We will start some discussions in the forums in the next week or so to see where people feel our current crafting lacks, what people would like to see in crafting going forward, and basically start the conversation on this topic to make sure we prioritize the plans and potential properly. Be sure to shoot over to the Dev Discussion forum and keep an eye out for those.
Trinkets are coming
As a precursor to some stuff we are thinking about for crafting, we want to introduce a few new temporary trinkets and accessories that will complement the armor and gear as they stand from the latest patch. These will be good ways to use up some extra currency and give characters more options for their characters.
Facebook & EA Store
Almost as if we planned it, we have reached more than 5,000 likes on our WAR Facebook page the day before the patch. As promised, in recognition of this achievement, the price the price of the Full RvR pack that combines the Progression and Personality packs has been lowered.
Also, as an additional thank you, we have two more items in the shop, that are temporarily reduced:
The new Scrounging Pet Pack is 50% off for a short introductory period.
As well, the Snotling Herald and the Starter Mount Pack are both 25% off for a limited time.
Hurry and take advantage of a great deal!
As announced on Tuesday, this weekend we are going do some changes to two scenarios. From Friday afternoon through Monday morning, Gromril Crossing and Thunder Valley will allow up to 18 players - something you have proposed a few times. At the same time you will earn double scenario tokens in those two scenarios. As well we are enabling a weekend 50% RP and XP bonus!
See you on the battlefields!
